An Ascolta Packing Guide

Everything You Need. Nothing You Don’t.

Packing sets the tone before the trip even begins. For us, it’s about feeling light, elegant, and prepared. Not having options for every scenario, but having the right ones.

Pack with intention. A few strong staples that work everywhere, and more swimmers than you think you’ll need. Clothes that feel considered without feeling precious. Things you actually want to wear, not things you bring "just in case".

If something is truly missing, it can almost always be found once you arrive. Before anything goes in the bag, we ask two simple questions. Will I actually wear this? And could I buy one there if I needed to?

Beach days stay simple. A good bag that isn’t too big or too small. The essentials inside it. A towel, sunglasses, camera, snacks, a bottle of water and a good book. Town days invite a little more effort, do you dress for comfort or style? Transit days are about ease, comfort, and moving without friction. Each day asks for something slightly different, but none of them ask for excess.

Overpacking usually comes from fear. Fear of being unprepared, of missing something, of not having enough. But it rarely adds anything to the experience. It only makes it heavier.

Carry-on only isn’t a rule, it’s a preference. On shorter trips it gives you freedom. Fewer logistics, less waiting, and a quieter mind when moving between places. On longer trips, it becomes a balance. What matters is knowing when less is more.

Some things come purely for comfort. Headphones. A small, good book. Not because they’re practical, but because they create moments of calm when you need them most.

Good packing isn’t about having more. It’s about having the right things, and knowing you can always find the rest along the way.
